Dartmouth Splash Pad and Pump Track

About the project

We're thrilled to share that the Dartmouth Splash Pad project, a priority on our Council Plan 2021-25, is getting ready to make a splash in our community!

We've been working with a landscape architect to bring this project to life, and we had a few layout options on the table that we went to the community with to get their input.

Why is this project being undertaken?

This project is being undertaken as part of the 2021-2025 Council Plan commitment to increasing the recreation opportunities for young families in Dartmouth.

Project updates

We held an information session Tuesday 24 October at the Dartmouth Pub to hear the thoughts of the community regarding:

  • The best location for the park
  • The preferred layout option
  • Ideas for the sustainable re-use of the water.

The final designs for the Splash Pad will be available within the next few weeks.

Works progress on the Pump Track continues.

Works on the Walking Track have been mapped out and should commence within a few weeks.

Some final electrical works and testing as part of the current stage of the Splash Pad project are expected to be completed in the coming weeks. This will allow the Splash Pad to be operational except for the "bucket" still being constructed overseas.
