Septic systems and water tanks

If your property, including your septic system or water tank, was damaged in the Eastern Victoria bushfires, you may be eligible for financial support as you rebuild.

2019/20 Eastern Bushfire Rebuilding Rebate Programs

Under these programs, the Victorian and Commonwealth Governments are providing up to $20,000 in rebates for properties destroyed or significantly damaged by the Eastern Victorian bushfires.

The programs support households to:

• replace rainwater and/or septic tanks on their primary place of residence
• undertake geotechnical assessments.

This support is to make sure affected households have access to usable water and safe disposal of wastewater, and facilitate the rebuilding process.
