Attree Centre, Corryong
About the project
Completed in 2020, the upgrades to Attree Centre improved the functionality and usability of the park, making it more attractive to locals and visitors alike.
New installations included:
- an accessible, touch-free water refill station and dog bowl
- bicycle repair stand
- new bench seats
- a new spring rocker for the kids' playground
- new trees and landscaping.
The most anticipated installation was a water station designed by Albury based entrepreneurs, MeetPat. The innovative drink station allows for touch-free refill of water bottles and is specially designed for wheelchair access and equipped with a recessed dog bowl that cannot be knocked over. The water station features graphics of the Upper Murray landscape.
The project was funded by $15,000 worth of community fundraising by the Corryong Neighbourhood Centre Garden Group, a $15,000 contribution from Council and a $13,000 grant from the Australian Government's Stronger Communities Program.
