Tallangatta Neighbourhood House
Council is excited to announce Tallangatta Neighbourhood House’s relocation to the old kinder facility, commencing a 12-month pilot period that was endorsed at the June 2022 Council Meeting.
Towong Shire Council Mayor Andrew Whitehead said the decision to move to the old kinder at 5a Banool Road represents a significant milestone for Tallangatta Neighbourhood House and the local community.
“This relocation allows Tallangatta Neighbourhood House to expand its services and better serve the needs of residents in the area,” Mayor Whitehead said.
“The old kinder will provide a welcoming and inclusive space for individuals and families to gather, learn, and connect.”
During the pilot period, Neighbourhood House Tallangatta aims to strengthen its existing programs and introduce new initiatives that respond to the evolving needs of the community.
They will continue to offer a wide range of activities and services, including educational workshops, support groups, recreational programs, and community events.
At the end of the pilot period Council will work with the Neighbourhood House team to ensure an ongoing site that meets the needs of the service is available.
