Tallangatta Pool transformed for the Summer 2021-22 Season
Tallangatta Pool transformed for Summer 2021/22 Season
The Tallangatta Swimming Pool has been undergoing refurbishments and is ready to be unveiled.
Unfortunately, Towong Shire Council had to delay the opening of the pool as poor weather meant works couldn't be completed in time.
On your first swim, you'll see the main pool now has a modern 'wet deck' and a new vinyl liner. The filtration pipes were also repaired and lined. No more leaks!
Due to the delayed start to the pool season, Council has announced that early bird prices for pool season passes will be available all summer long at both the Tallangatta and Corryong pools!
Towong Shire Council Mayor Andrew Whitehead said the upgrades have brought the outdated pool into the future.
“The new ‘wet deck’ design has brought the pool up to modern-day standards and I can’t wait to see the community enjoying it this summer,” he said.
Towong Shire Council contributed $125,000 to the project, as well as securing a
$200,000 grant from the Federal Government’s Local Roads and Community Infrastructure Program.
