What’s next for the Corryong CBD Streetscape Revitalisation?

Towong Shire Council would like to say a huge thank you to those who provided feedback for the redevelopment of the Corryong CBD.

Ideas ranged from improving verandas and shop facades, to artwork, themes and colour schemes, to improving outdoor seating, shade, landscaping and pedestrian access.

The feedback will inform a draft design plan, for the purpose of a funding application.

Towong Shire Council Mayor Wortmann thanked community members for taking part in the community engagement activities including the survey, and one on one meetings.

“Corryong residents and businesses know their town the best, which is why it is important for us to understand which upgrades they would like to see made.”

“It was great so see so many participate. It shows just how passionate our Corryong and surrounding community is about their town” he said.

If the application is successful, there will be another opportunity for feedback on the draft plans later this year.
