Have your say on the future of Towong Shire!
Towong Shire Council is inviting community members to share their ideas and aspirations for the future of Towong Shire. Community feedback will form the basis of the development of a new 10 year Community Vision and four year Council Plan, outlining Council’s major priorities for the new Council term.
Mayor David Wortmann recognised and thanked the community for answering the various calls to participate in community consultation activities over the last 12 months, many of which were related to the bushfire recovery process.
“In my view the development of a new Council Plan is an essential part of the ongoing recovery process, as it will lay out the priority activities for the Council over the next four years,” he said.
“It’s really important that our plans are reflective of community views. We want to know what is important to you, your family and your business, and what ideas you have for our future. No idea is a bad idea!”
Feedback can be provided via surveys or community workshops which will be held during May.
