The Man from Snowy River Museum has a new roof!
The Man from Snowy River Museum in Corryong has recently been upgraded with a new roof as part of Council’s Capital Works program.
The old roof was aging and had developed leaks. The newly installed roof features improved drainage and now matches the roof over the extended part of the museum.
Towong Shire Council Mayor David Wortmann said the upgrades will ensure the sustainability of the museum into the future whilst maintaining its heritage.
“The Man from Snowy River plays an important role in our local history and the museum is key to keeping this story alive.”
“These recent upgrades will preserve the museum for the future and ensure it can continue to service both locals and tourists for years to come” he said.
The Museum is open everyday from 10am to 4pm. Drop in next time you wander past and say hello to the wonderful volunteers while you're there!
