Have your say on growing Towong's economy!

Council has engaged economic and tourism consultants Urban Enterprise to develop an Economic Development Strategy and Destination Management Plan for Towong Shire.

The Economic Development Strategy will provide strategic direction for future business development, investment attraction and sustainable growth in the Shire.

The Destination Management Plan will focus on growing the tourism industry by increasing visitor numbers to the Shire, extending the length of stay and increasing visitor spend.

Towong Shire Council Mayor David Wortmann said it is important to gather insights from the community to help with the development of the plans.

“We want to hear from both community members and business owners in the Shire. What opportunities do you think we could take advantage of and what challenges do we need to overcome?” he said.
