Improved telecommunications for Towong Shire

Two new mobile towers are set to be built in Burrowye and Koetong as part of the Australian Government's Mobile Black Spot Program.

Towong Shire Council Mayor David Wortmann expressed his elation at the news. “Connectivity is vitally important across our municipality, making this is a great result for our communities.”

“Thank you to Dr Helen Haines, Independent Federal Member for Indi, for her ongoing efforts in supporting the work of our Council and our communities to secure improved telecommunications in Towong Shire,” he said.

Towong Shire Council will continue to advocate for our communities to help deliver reliable mobile and internet coverage across the Shire.
