Towong Shire Council investigated to establish the condition of four gum trees in Midren Street, Corryong.
An arboricultural assessment was conducted by Towong Shire Council and a third party March 25. The inspection saw the recommendation that all four trees be retained and will benefit from pruning which has been completed.
The objective was to assess the overall condition, structure, safety and suitability for protection. Each of these trees have previously been pruned at the time of construction away from the buildings. As a result, the canopy weight is heaviest towards the road and away from the buildings. This pruning has reduced the likelihood of a tree failure impacting the dwellings.
