$5,000 Grants now available through Stepping it Up Program

The Stepping it Up Program is now open, offering grants of up to $5,000 to tourism businesses to develop a walk experience that will add value to the current regional tourism offering.

Two successful applicants will each receive financial support and mentoring for their product development through the Council’s partnership with Tourism North East.

They will also have the opportunity to be featured as part of the Tourism North East ongoing media and PR campaign program.

These may include inclusions in publications like Broadsheet and Walk Magazine as well as targeted digital advertising and social media.

New products will be featured on the Victoria’s High Country website under the nature based and walk categories and will form the cornerstone of bookable products in the inaugural High Country Festival of Walking to be held in November 2021.

Who is eligible?

• Any Towong Shire business
• Collaboration between two or more businesses is not required, however will be well received
• The business/s must have, or be willing to take out, an Australian Tourism Data Warehouse (ATDW) listing
