Towong Shire heads to TV screens!

Towong Shire Council is excited to announce that our Shire will feature in the season finale of the new SBS series, Trail Towns.

Hosts of Trail Towns Vandy and Deetz visited Towong Shire in May, testing out some of the best road and gravel riding from Corryong to Tallangatta, and down to the Mitta Valley.

They also visited iconic tourist locations, including the Great River Road Art installations, the Man from Snowy River Museum, Old Tallangatta Lookout, Hume and Dartmouth Dams and more.

They even stopped off at some of Towong’s cafes, pubs and breweries, as well as chatting to locals and business owners along the way.

Towong Shire Council Mayor David Wortmann said he’s excited to see the final episode when it airs.

“Our episode on Trail Towns will show viewers the amazing cycling opportunities that the Shire has to offer.”

“The hosts also highlight some of the best things to do, see and eat along the way - you may even spot a familiar face or two!” he said.
