Old Tallangatta Remedial Works Planning

Project Timeline

• October 16 – community workshop at Old Tallangatta
• October 30 – finalisation of the works plan
• November to December 2019 – Request for Tender
• January 2020 – works commence
• June 2020 – works completed

Council is planning remedial works in Old Tallangatta that may include:

• Modify the Y intersection where the bus shelter is to improve sight distance/safety/amenity – look at options for relocating the bus shelter
• Address the drainage concerns in front of the CFA shed
• Improve the town entrances by reshaping the roadside and planting tree avenues
• Plant more trees throughout the township

The works are reflective of Council Plan Strategy 3.4: Improve town entrances at key locations throughout the Shire.
