The Triangles will be revitalised as the Destination Tallangatta project moves into its final stages.

Plans to enliven the prized public space have been drafted based on community input gathered through previous community consultation.

Council is now checking back with the community to ensure that ideas and priorities remain the same and to source new ideas for a number of elements in the park.

Community members will have an opportunity to have their say by considering things like:

  • pathways and pavilions, seating and shade;
  • updates to the toilet block;
  • potential sites for the Sandy the Warhorse statue;
  • possible uses for the Information Centre;
  • ways to create more space for large events; and
  • improving safety around the playground area.

Community feedback will be gathered through:

  • An online survey. Respond to the survey via this link. Printed copies of the survey are available at the Library. The survey closes 27 October.
  • A Youth Art Competition – available to all young people who live in or attend school within the Tallangatta district. Entry forms and competition rules are available below. Winners of the competition will be chosen at a community workshop on 3 November in the Triangles.
  • An open-air community workshop open to all community members on Sunday November 3 in The Triangles from 10.00am.

We have prepared a draft concept to illustrate some of the proposed ideas for the project.
