Attree Centre, Corryong

New installations at Attree Centre in Corryong are now complete.
The new installations include:
-
An accessible, touch-free water refill station and dog bowl
-
Bicycle repair stand
-
New bench seats
-
A new spring rocker for the kids playground
-
New trees and landscaping
The most anticipated installation is a water station designed by Albury based entrepreneurs, MeetPat. The innovative drink station allows for touch-free refill of water bottles and is specially designed for wheelchair access and equipped with a recessed dog bowl that cannot be knocked over. The water station features graphics of the Upper Murray landscape.
A bicycle repair kit has been placed next to the Visitor Information Centre, giving both local and visiting cyclists access to tools and a bike pump.
The project was initiated by a group of dedicated community members who worked together with Corryong Neighbourhood Centre Garden Group, raising $15,000 for new shade sails at the park.
This funding was then matched with $15,000 from Council, and the sails were installed in March 2020.
The project was also successful in receiving a further $13,000 grant through the Commonwealth Government's Stronger Communities Program, endorsed by Helen Haines MP, Independent Member for Indi.
