Blackspot Program, Bellbridge and Bethanga

About the project

Completed in 2020, the Blackspot Program delivered important safety improvements to Lake Road between Bellbridge and Bethanga.

The upgrades included:

• widening of road shoulders
• line marking
• installation of safety guards
• new signage
• a reduction in the speed limit from 100 km/h to 80 km/h along a section of the road.

The project was funded by a $170,000 grant from the Australian Government's Black Spot Program.
