A confirmed case of Japanese encephalitis (JE) has been identified in northern Victoria. The JE vaccine is available FREE for eligible residents in high-risk areas, including Towong Shire.

Tallangatta Pool

About the project

Completed in 2021, the upgrades to Tallangatta Pool brought the outdated pool up to modern day standards.

The upgrades included:

  • a modern 'wet deck' design
  • new vinyl liner
  • filtration pipes were repaired and lined

The project was funded by a $200,000 grant from the Federal Government’s Local Roads and Community Infrastructure Program and a $125,000 contribution from Council.
