Tintaldra Streetscape Masterplan
Council are collaborating with the Tintaldra community to create a Streetscape Plan. This plan will gather the community's dreams and combine them with ongoing projects into a clear and easy-to-follow document or 'road-map.'
Our goal is for this Streetscape Plan to serve as a high-level strategic document. It will guide future funding applications and actual projects on the ground. Our aim is to enhance safety, functionality, appearance, connectivity, pedestrian comfort, and traffic flow within Tintaldra.
Some of the objectives that have been identified are:
- Celebrate Tintaldra’s heritage, rural community spirit and unique natural environment.
- Strengthen the town’s identity and through way-finding and interpretive signage
- Implement an ongoing street tree planting program in the town
- Create a safe and comfortable environment for the pedestrians
- Implement a consistent treatment of paving, furniture and signage to improve the appearance and visually unify the town
- Investigate opportunities for new or improved public spaces for community use and gathering
- Encourage and facilitate an equitable and accessible environment which responds to the needs of the different user groups
