TOWONG STREET STREETSCAPE WORKS

As part of the broader Destination Tallangatta project, the section of Towong Street between Tooma and Akuna Streets Tallangatta has been upgraded.  The works included road widening to match the pavement width at Tooma and Akuna Streets, the addition of new kerb and gutter to both sides, as well as new stormwater drainage works to the existing open channel.

Works at the intersection of Banool Road and Towong Street have also been completed, including new curb outstands, landscaping, paving, upgrades to footpaths and new crossing points to the Triangles to improve pedestrian safety.

Works are now underway on the eastern and western intersections of Towong Street at both ends of the Triangles. Plans for the works are available to download from this webpage
