Magorra Park Multi-Purpose Centre

Magorra Park Multi-Purpose Centre

The need for a multi-purpose facility in Mitta Mitta, to encourage community connectedness, sporting participation and improved health outcomes, was borne out of the Magorra Park Recreation Reserve Masterplan process.

The new building will incorporate a new function room, new football and netball change rooms, support emergency personnel and a broad range of local volunteer activities. It will make provision for a new child care and kindergarten space, visiting medical rooms and improved access. In addition, the Centre will provide a place for people to enjoy events such as the Mitta Muster.

This $1 million project is a partnership between Towong Shire Council and the Mitta Mitta community who provided $250,000 each and Regional Development Victoria who contributed $500,000.

The development is now complete and was officially opened on 8 March 2015.
