Corryong Netball Courts
The Corryong Netball Courts project is a direct result of community consultation which occurred during the Corryong Recreation Reserve Masterplan process. The development of two permanent and compliant netball courts, complete with competition standard lighting and umpire/coaches shelters was identified as the number one priority of the community.
The new courts have replaced substandard facilities which regularly resulted in player injuries and prevented increased participation. Today Corryong provides a superior netball and sporting amenity for locals and visitors alike.
The Masterplan was developed by Melbourne based Clarke Hopkins Clarke and the courts were built by commercial and HIA and MBA award winning builders, Systainabylt Commercial. The community and local sporting clubs raised $35,000 cash and $4,660 in-kind towards the project, Council contributed a further $24,990 and the Victorian State Government contributed $80,000 cash to the project.
The Corryong Netball Courts were officially opened on Wednesday, 23 April 2014.
