Property Risk Management
Council offers property insurance to a range of community groups within the municipality under its JLT Municipal Asset Protection Plan policy. Council advises community groups with a responsibility of managing property and assets to manage risk proactively making facilities safer for users, to extend the life of the asset and to keep insurance costs as low as possible.
The Vero Property Loss Prevention Self Inspection Checklist (see below) identifies key property risk areas and it is Council’s expectation that your committee is able to answer yes to all items on the checklist. Completing this checklist is an annual requirement for continuing coverage under Council’s policy. Also attached is a copy of Council's incident report form as an example of such for community groups.
